Are you ready to join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing Global ISR Sensors and Software? Raytheon is on the lookout for an experienced Optical Integration Technician V to bring your expertise to our Westford, MA facility.
This is an on-site role where youll play a crucial part in the assembly, testing, and inspection of cutting-edge optical components and systems.
What You Will Do:
Engage in the intricate assembly and integration of optical components, ensuring each piece meets our high standards.
Utilize a variety of electro-optical, metrology, and inspection tools and software to test and inspect optical components and systems.
Troubleshoot system and testing errors, collaborating with engineering teams to find effective solutions.
Develop new fixtures and refine existing processes to reduce costs, cycle-time, and improve work procedures.
Operate overhead cranes, support work in the Optical Assembly and Potting Labs, and interpret blueprints and engineering plans.
Conduct quality inspections, including pressure and pull testing, and ensure all components meet material and dimensional requirements.
Perform optical potting operations, including coating, assembly, alignment (using Interferometers), grinding, cleaning, and adhesive application using both machine and hand tools.
Set up and monitor chambers, ensuring optimal conditions.
Rework and repair mechanical, electro-optical, and electro-mechanical systems and components.
Assist with the design of opto-mechanical parts and prototypes, contributing to innovative solutions.
Potentially train new technicians and be trained/certified in multiple skills.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
SAP experience.
Experience with Electro-Optical assemblies used in surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
Must have experience working in clean room environments
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
7 years of optics, mechanical, or electro-optical experience.
Clean room experience.
Excellent dexterity for handling precision optical components.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently within a team environment.
Flexibility with shift schedules.
Team-oriented mindset, ready to collaborate and step in for other tasks as needed.
