Are you our new VP Technical Fleet?
We are looking for an VP Technical Fleet to provide technical expertise within the Fleet/Asset/Finance function to ensure aircraft and engine assets are managed to maximize value, minimize exposure, and support financing, leasing, and strategic fleet decisions, without interfering with the Technical CAMO`s airworthiness responsibilities.

In this role you will be responsible for:
Aircraft & Engine Asset Management: including monitoring maintenance status, forecasting major events, optimizing maintenance solutions, evaluating end‑of‑lease requirements, and tracking asset utilization to minimize cost and mitigate financial exposure.
Strategic Input to Fleet Planning: Support fleet planning by building technical cost scenarios, benchspaning maintenance and residual value trends, analyzing maintenance‑avoidance opportunities, and informing decisions on aircraft orders, leases, and retirements.
Fleet Transactions & Financing Support: Support fleet transactions and financing by conducting technical due diligence, providing technical inputs for forecasting and budgeting, and translating technical risks into financial impact models.
Technical Risk Oversight: Report exposure from OEM technical issues (e.g., HPT blade life limits, retrofit programs) in financial terms - Stay updated on technical issues on Norwegian and world fleet
Interface & Coordination - Liaise with Technical CAMO for data and forecasts (without assuming CAMO responsibilities) - Work closely with SVP Corporate Finance & Fleet and VP Fleet to align technical inputs with financial models - Liaise with external stakeholders including lessors, aircraft finance parties and OEM´s - Provide clear technical/financial briefings for fleet strategy - Coordination with Technical Procurement regarding technical contracts for Engines, Landing gears and APU´s
You are our ideal candidate if you have:
- Engineer with minimum 10 years of technical experience within aircraft engineering, or fleet technical/asset management, including leadership roles
- Strong expertise in aircraft systems, maintenance planning, and lifecycle management of major assets
- Proven ability to translate technical data into financial impact, supporting fleet strategy and asset decisions
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, with a strategic and commercially driven mindset
