Job Description:

In this role, you will analyze and influence system supportability to meet applicable requirement and be the primary interface between the Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Logistics community. Your goal will be to deliver an engine system that exhibits the highest levels of supportability and minimizes the logistics burden at the lowest customer life cycle costs.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers performing supportability, maintainability, and related work scope and deliverables.
  • Participate in the COTs software (SlicWave, Eagle, etc..) evaluations led by the Digital Technology team to identify a suitable software solution which meets requirements and supports longer term maintenance task needs.
  • Conduct Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis with focus on MSG-3.
  • Conduct Level of Repair analysis for engine programs.
  • Manage schedule, budget, and performance for Supportability team.
  • Determine Supportability Objectives to identify constraints, thresholds, and areas of improvement to provide supportability input into tradeoffs. 
  • Participate in technical meetings and design reviews as the Supportability expert.
  • Integrate with design teams to establish module parts lists and to refine engine design to maximize supportability and lower life cycle costs.
  • Lead the team in the creation/update and delivery of Maintenance Task Analysis to Customers.
  • Work with Safety Engineers to ensure Safety Database mitigations are accurately represented in Maintenance Task Analysis.
  • Define and execute the process for Logistics Control Number creation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field closely related to supportability engineering such as product support, field service, technical publications, reliability, systems engineering, provisioning, training, logistics, supply chain, or sustainment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in logistics engineering
  • Experience performing product support analysis per MIL-HDBK-502A
  • Experience collecting, developing, and storing logistics support analysis record data per GEIA-STD-0007B for Logistics Product Database.
  • Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter Visualization Mockup software
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense acquisition program
