The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Engineering division is seeking an Information Technology Manager to join the team in Everett, WA; or Seattle, WA.
The selected candidate will lead multiple talented and matrixed teams in developing solutions for the Certification, Safety, Airworthiness, and Loadable Software functions. This individual must leverage strong skills in relationship building and teaming, problem solving, strategic planning, Agile software development, technical acumen, and communication at all levels to help accelerate our teams operations and lead them to successful delivery of valuable business solutions. Partner closely with a diverse set of stakeholders in the support of Certification activities for our new Commercial programs, advancing our Safety culture, and loading operations-critical software onto aircraft prior to first flight and delivery.
Partner with global team in defining the future state of team operations as we strive to deliver new enterprise solutions, stabilize and sunset aging applications, enhance capabilities in our existing solutions, and chart out the future course of applications and technologies in the Certification & Safety Product space.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Certification & Safety application maintenance, development team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish project timelines
Manage the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Ensure adherence to software development, best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, regulators, peers, partners and direct reports
Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of software solutions and adherence to service level agreements
Manage budget and financial plan for the team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business teams, project managers, and IT support, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions with existing systems and processes
Identify, recruit, develop, engage, and retain team talent
Coach, counsel, mentor and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
10+ years of experience in information technology or technical support
5+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership
5+ years of years in software development and collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Experience communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with Agile Software Development/ Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience in DevSecOps and Automation
Exposure to implementing AI solutions in existing engineering software solutions
Experience coaching and mentoring managers, leads, and individual reports to continuous learning and improvement
Experience in Aerospace domain

Summary Pay Range: $150,450 – $203,550
