Summary:
Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structural parts and system components including control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear, doors, engines, cowls, and entry doors.
Remove and replace linkages, sectors, and components; cut and fit system lines and associated hardware to perform basic repairs.
Ensure the quality and efficiency of all installations; perform necessary rework to meet conformity standards.
Install system lines, valves, ducts, and associated parts, ensuring leak-free performance.
Use various tools and equipment (e.g., permaswage pumps, dies, cutting tools, wrenches, gauges) to complete installations and minor structural work.
Perform basic structural repairs by removing, replacing, cutting, and fitting systems lines, panels, and hardware.
Complete and sign all required logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).
Inspect own work to ensure defect-free installations before final inspection.
Maintain an organized and clean work area; follow FOD, 5S, and all safety procedures.
Demonstrate manufacturing competencies per effectiveness reviews.
Support continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
May participate in flight tests during aircraft certification and final phase testing
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Application installation, fabrication experience, or trade school preferred
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to work any shift
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 40 pounds
Basic computer literacy required
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
Proficient in basic drilling, reaming, and part fitting tasks
Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 lbs
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
