This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
About the Team:
The Purchasing Team is responsible for procuring metallic and non-metallic parts that support Boeing’s manufacturing operations. The team manages supplier contracts and agreements with global suppliers and supports key stages of the purchased component lifecycle, including requirements identification, sourcing, order placement, and receipt/delivery. Procurement Agents work closely with internal teams and suppliers to help ensure materials are available to support production needs.

This position may be filled at Procurement Levels 2, 3, or 4 level based on the selected candidates qualifications, experience, and demonstrated capabilities.
- Level 2: 2+ years of related procurement, supply chain, sourcing, purchasing, or manufacturing experience.
- Level 3: 5+ years of related professional experience with increased responsibility in sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and supply chain execution.
- Level 4: 9+ years of related professional experience with advanced expertise in procurement strategy, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality materials and services are delivered on time and support production requirements.
- Lead sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and ongoing supplier management.
- Serve as an authorized representative of the company for procurement transactions, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Monitor inventory levels, supplier performance, and material demand to support supply chain continuity.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze supply chain data and planning requirements to optimize material availability and support business objectives.
- Collaborate across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and other functional teams to drive operational success.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years of procurement, supply chain, sourcing, purchasing, or related experience, preferably within aerospace, manufacturing, or raw materials environments.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, programs, parts, and supplier-related activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP, and managing large datasets.
- Experience influencing stakeholders and driving positive business outcomes through collaboration and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, or raw materials procurement operations.
- Project management experience, including managing cross-functional initiatives and supplier-driven projects.
- Experience with process improvement, cost reduction, or supply chain optimization initiatives.
- Knowledge of manufacturing materials, production planning, and supply chain best practices.

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $54,550 - $83,650
Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $73,050 - $112,000
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $93,800 - $143,800
