Your Expertise, Our Mission – Engineer the Systems That Keep Aerospace AlivePDS Tech Commercial is hiring a forward-thinking Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support advanced aerospace systems in Windsor Locks, CT. This 12-month, full-time consultant role places you at the heart of life support and thermal control system development—critical technologies that ensure safety and success in aerospace missions. You’ll be part of a team that transforms design concepts into precise, reliable hardware that keeps our skies and space missions running smoothly.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
What You’ll Be Doing – Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesWorking Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, you’ll play a key role in optimizing electrical manufacturing processes and delivering quality results in a high-tech environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and refining electrical manufacturing methods for complex aerospace hardware
Creating assembly documentation, tooling concepts, and process workflows
Supporting failure investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
Leading continuous improvement efforts to reduce cost and improve product reliability
Managing disassembly, assembly, and repair procedures to optimize performance
Ensuring strict compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) and quality standards
Driving process enhancements using Lean, ACE, and Manufacturing Process Review techniques
Reviewing engineering drawings and resolving producibility concerns
Interfacing with external suppliers and cross-functional internal teams
Presenting technical solutions and progress updates to senior management
What You Bring to the TeamRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or related field preferred)
Strong knowledge of electrical manufacturing and assembly methods
Experience with failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
Ability to create and manage technical documentation, tooling concepts, and process workflows
Proven experience in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical updates to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, ACE, Process Certification, and EH&S standards
Experience in life support or thermal control system manufacturing
Understanding of cost estimating, tooling, and fabrication processes
A proactive, solution-driven mindset with a passion for process optimization

Pay Details: $36.50 to $42.50 per hour
