B1 Licensed engineer role – Gatwick Airport - ongoing contract

Our client has a requirement for a B1 Licenced Engineer contractor to join their Engineering team, based primarily at London Gatwick Airport.

Main responsibilities:

• Completion of the tasks allocated to them on a shift-by-shift basis by the Area Station Manager or Shift Supervisor, or carried out as part of their routine duties, in accordance with company procedures;
• Certification of the work carried out by themselves under the terms of, and within the limitations set by, their personal company authorisation.
• Ensuring that they are familiar with the MOE and working procedures that affect their duties;
• Performing engineering duties ‘Away from Base’ or at outstations as detailed by the Maintenance Manager or UK Station Manager.
• Ensuring that the engineering facility, vehicles etc are maintained to the appropriate standard.

Essential requirements:

• Ideal candidates must hold a UK CAA  Licence and have a minimum 6 months experience within the past two years, Minimum B787 Gen-x and A330 T7000
• B737 NG & Max, A320 is a plus
• EASA License beneficial
• Provide supporting Logbooks or worksheets demonstrating recency
• EWIS, FTS, HF (Initial + recurrent)
• Previous Line and base maintenance experience
• Candidates must have excellent communication skills with a flexible approach
• Be willing to work away from base for company operations when required.
• Shift pattern working
• Hold a full and valid Driving Licence
• Hold a valid Passport with the ability to reside and work in the UK.
• Be computer literate
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drugs and alcohol screening
