Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Provide direction to technicians; ensure tasks are completed within allotted timeframes
Coordinate with other departments to ensure on-time aircraft delivery
Install, modify, and fabricate wiring, electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings
Train and mentor team members in associated work assignments
Apply advanced skills and innovation to improve team efficiency and quality
Assist engineering with troubleshooting and repairs per engineering direction
Maintain accurate logs and records
Ensure all work meets regulatory and customer requirements
Enforce compliance with the companys FOD program, tool control, 5S, and safety procedures
Inspect completed work, including that of other team members, to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection
Properly maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned
Coordinate shift transitions in the absence of the team leader
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events)
Assist or back up the team coordinator as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Either:
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related work experience, or
Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
Working knowledge of policies and procedures, inspection manuals, and relevant process specifications
Proven ability to quickly transition to new tasks with minimal impact on goals or schedule
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with computer use and basic keyboarding skills
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
