Sr Subcontracts Specialist

As a Sr Subcontracts Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing subcontracting activities, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and driving cost-effective solutions within our Aerospace Procurement team.

You will work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, External New Hires must be prepared to work 100 onsite M-F.

In this role, you will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our subcontracting processes, contributing to the successful execution of our aerospace projects and initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development and negotiation of subcontract agreements to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify subcontracting needs and implement effective procurement strategies.

Analyze supplier performance and manage relationships to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.

COMPENSATION:

The Salary range for this position is $84K - $110K. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates. Posting Date: 10/06/2025.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all subcontracts with suppliers for products and services needed throughout project life cycles; Engage with internal program office/contracts group and support Program Managers on subcontractor cost, performance, and schedule matters; Administer existing subcontracts and maintain subcontract records; Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting subcontracts; Communicate regularly with subcontractors and address performance issues; Evaluate bids and proposals for compliance with company policies and program requirements; Lead in the evaluation of proposals; Execute quickreact requirements identified by the program team; Respond to data calls and support audit activities

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

A minimum of 5 years of experience in subcontract management or procurement

Must be a US Person due to contractual requirements

WE VALUE

Proven experience in subcontract management or procurement within the aerospace industry.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in contract negotiation and compliance.

Experience with procurement software and tools.

Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex supplier relationships.

Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
