Revenue Analyst

Your role

Applications are currently being invited for the role of Revenue Analyst. The successful candidate will be part of the Revenue Management team, where the primary objective is to maximise revenue on each flight within the Aer Lingus network through a combination of demand analysis and inventory actions, whilst constantly reacting to competitor activity and market trends. 

 

Reporting to the Shorthaul Revenue Manager, they will work closely with the Pricing, Sales, Network Planning, Marketing, Customer Contact Centre and Airport Stations in order to deliver the optimum revenue result.

 

  • Manage and ensure the delivery of the revenue budget for your flight portfolio by maximising revenue per seat on a flight by flight basis.
  • Continuously monitor, analyse and create performance data and respond with the appropriate actions to achieve the Revenue Budget.
  • Maintain detailed awareness of competitor pricing, scheduling and promotional behaviour across your portfolio.
  • Work closely with the pricing team to develop coordinated pricing strategies and tactics.
  • Develop overbooking profiles to minimise inventory spoilage and denied boarding costs through analysing post departure data.
  • Support the delivery of ancillary revenue streams and assist in the ongoing development of new ones.
  • Identify and pursue capacity deployment opportunities to support the overall network revenue.
  • Liaise with the Sales team in preparing quotes for Group and Tour Operator business.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of Revenue Management expertise within the department, participating in and contributing to training, reviews and workshops.
  • Support operational and other commercial areas in disruption situations.

Your qualifications and key criteria

  • A 3rd level qualification in Business / Commerce or relevant work experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with good working knowledge of Revenue Management concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include proven report writing and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed IT skills including experience with creating data reports, spreadsheets, databases, word processing and presentation packages.
  • Proven numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly.
  • Focused attitude to work with the ability to use time effectively and plan tasks to be completed in a timely and responsible manner.
  • An enthusiastic team member with a flexible and positive attitude to work.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and commitment.
  • Ability to working efficiently and effectively under pressure and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in systems and technology.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Possess a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide 2 verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* (or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin).
